Pops

In 1996...I met the love of my life...and I loved him the moment I met him. My best friend in college, Natalie, told me she wanted me to meet someone...so I said sure...though I was not really all that thrilled about it. We went to her friend, Andrew's apartment...who ended up being Aaron's best man in our wedding:) Aaron had just gotten off work...and came strolling in with a bag of Whataburger...not knowing I was already there. Now...I have to admit...I am horrible at names...and was a little confused that night because I was nervous...and it was not til later that night that I got everything sorted out and realized that the Aaron she wanted to set me up with was the guy at Andrew's with the Whataburger...and boy was I excited when I figured it out!! Shortly after that night...he sent me roses with a card that said...Will you be mine?...and within the week had bought me a dog...that we still have...my sweet Angel. We dated the whole way through college...with a few break-ups here and there. In fact, when I left college...we were not together...but still kept in touch...I'll tell that story on our anniversary:) I am saying all this to say that I have watched this cute boy from college...become an amazing dad. Everything he does...he does for his children. He helped with everything when they were babies...he does Dr. appointments...is always coming home with treats...snuggles...attempts to do hair for school...changes diapers...grocery shops...tells me that when it comes to the kids, I can buy them clothes whenever I want to...takes them shoe shopping (regularly)...takes them to gymnastics...reads to them...plays with them...discipline's them...loves them with all his heart. I don't know how I did it...but I married a man...who is just like my dad.
