Single Married

A police-wife-friend of mine shared this article on facebook today...and it rang true to me in so many ways. I especially liked her term of single married...it's how I feel a lot of the time. I am so lucky to have my family nearby...I know a lot of wives don't...and I truly don't know how they do it "alone." Being an officer's wife is a strange thing. You are so overwhelmingly proud...it almost hurts your heart. And when you hear people gripe about cops...it aches. Knowing truly what your husband risks for his job...to help people he does not know...is almost incomprehensible. I am also very thankful for my Police Wives Asscoiation friends. I do not get to see them as often these days as I would like...but I did today and am so thankful for that little pocket of time to spend with them. I love Aaron for the amazing husband and father that he is...for how he treats me as his partner...for how hard he works to provide for our family...and for choosing a career that his family will always be proud of.
