RJ when we sat down to read the Bible..."Mommy, you don't have to read it to me tonight. I'm going to tell you the story about God...because I know EVERYTHING about God."
KA when she saw the snow this morning..."Thank you, Heaven!"
(Cole @ 18 months) Momma, 1-2-3...oh! as he falls on the bed, bye-bye, no, daddy, hey, Awwww when he hugs, ready!, I got it, ohhhhh, and lots of babble!
(RJ) Coloring..."Mommy, is this a mommy deer or a honey deer?" One of my favorite things RJ does is she doesn't call anything a "baby"...anything that is a "baby" she calls a "honey."
(KA)"Mommy, you have a big tummy...and a big booty! Is your big booty going to go away after my baby brother is here like your big tummy will go away?"
(RJ)"Mommy, me go school, too? I miss my friends and my teachers!"
(KA)"Mommy, aren't you glad I'm not saying "stupid" anymore? I'm a sweet girl and I said "stupid" and you told me that that was not sweet, so I don't say "stupid" anymore. Aren't I sweet?"
(KA...pointing to a picture of herself with her daddy...) "See Mommy...there's Daddy holding me when I was a baby. That sure was great of him!"
"RJ, come help Mommy pick up your toys." She says...everytime..."Nope, just you...I'm too busy."
(RJ) "Mommy, see! My baby bottle in my...(taps her lips)...hmmm...what's that word? POCKET! Yes...keep it safe from the big, bad wolf!" (We seem to be quite obsessed with Little Red Ridinghood these days:)
RJ...Who lives in those trees? "Big, Bad Wolf!" KA...who lives in those trees? "Jesus."
(KA) "Here Mommy...a soccer sticker because you like soccer practice...and a happy face sticker. That means LOVE!"
(From the imagination of RJ when we pass a lot of trees...) "Mommy...look trees! There's the Big, Bad Wolf hiding! He's trying to catch us! He very scary!!!)
(RJ) "Mommy! Sissy has all my ponies! 1-3-5-ponies! (She for some reason counts by odd numbers...and when there is a lot of something...like miniature ponies...she says 1-3-5 instead of "all" or "a bunch."
"But Mommy, that's going to take for all week!" (instead of that's going to take forever)
"KA, did you make any new friends in Sunday School today?" She replies, "Yes." I say, "Well, do you remember their name?" and she replies, "Yes. God." PRICELESS!
(Grann came over for a girl's day of shopping...RJ says...) "Grann...someting's missing...where's PopPop?"
(KA...pushing me in a raft...away from her and Daddy...)"There...that'll keep her busy for awhile!"
(With hands on her hips...shaking her head...KA) "Mommy, where did you put the M&M's?" (ME) I put them up...you can have some more later." (KA) "Oh mommy, you can't put them up. That is not very nice of you..."
(ME) "KA, let's go brush your teeth." (KA) "What's the magic word?" (ME) "KA, let's PLEASE go brush your teeth:)" (KA) "Oh, good job! and I'm not going to cry anyways!" (Switching to flouride toothpaste was a bit tramatic...even with Barbie sparkles!)
(ME) "Look at that big hole!" (KA) "Wow! That's awesome! I've never seen one like that before!" (Sonce when does a 3 year old say awesome?)
(As we're pulling up to Target...) "Look Riley! We're home!"
(KA) "Mommy, maybe you should come put the lock on the door...come on...hurry!" She is talking about the lock that we keep on our bathroom door. I now know that this means to hurry because RJ is giving herself a haircut!!
(KA)"Mommy...hurry...there's a monster in my window...look!...he's blinking at me!" (lightning) (Me) "That's not a monster...it's just lightning...which just means that God is taking pictures of his angels." (KA) "Pictures? Oh...is He nice?" (Me) "Of course...He watches over you all the time to make sure you're always safe. He is always with you." (KA) "Oh...OK...then I'm not scared anymore...Good Night!"
"Daddy...are you dressed like a policeman? You can't dress like a policeman...that's so silly! You better go change it anyway!"
(RJ) "No tinks!" (a.k.a. no thanks)
(Me) "KA, la comida is Spanish for food...can you say "la comida?"...(KA)..."Yes, Mommy...MARGARITA!"
"Umm...Mommy...I need something tasty. Let's see, Coke...that should do the trick!"
(In the middle of Target ... yelling...) "Mommy, are you SO HAPPY I pooped in the potty?!!"
Mommy...that fire light...it got mad! (You read it right...there's a good story behind that one...ahhh...toddlers...never a dull moment!)
(This one's my favorite ... HA!) "See Daddy...there's Mommy...isn't she beautiful!"
