Lesson Learned

A.) Happy St. Patrick's Day!
B.) Spring Break + Zoo = BAD IDEA!
Hubby and I thought last night...hey...we're both off tomorrow and the weather is BEAUTIFUL...let's take the girls to the zoo. Um...yah...can you say C-R-O-W-D-E-D? We seriously had to park way off at the golf course across the street and the Five-O at the corner said today was nothing...tomorrow is half price day. Are you kidding me? It was while we were in an hour long wait for a hamburger...yes, an hour long wait for a hamburger...that we thought maybe this wasn't the best idea...so we bolted and cut our losses. The girls got to see a few animals, of course made a trip through the gift shop, and were then treated to a chocolate molten lava cake at a REAL-AIR CONDITIONED-NOT CROWDED restaurant. And of course, Daddy gets the Iron Man Award. He let us out at the front entrance, parked the car, and then made the hike back to the front...which was seriously a hike. On the way back, we went with him, but he carried a 4 year old on his shoulders and pushed a three year old in a stroller at the same time...and maintained a leisurely pace for his dear wife. Yay Daddy! All-in-all...not a wasted day because we were together...but we won't be going on that adventure ever again...lesson learned.
