PWAA

I am so excited...I joined PWAA! It's the Police Wives of Arlington Association. It is going to be a great opportunity to volunteer in the community and within the police department. I have to admit...one of the reasons I was hesitant about Aaron changing careers is because it is going to change just about everything within our family...not for the worse...but for the better of course. Aaron and I have always had pretty much the same schedule and vacations...same careers in education...etc...NOW all that is going to change...which is a little scary! So I joined PWAA to be able to stay connected in someway to my husband's career...does that make sense? And this is a big step for me. Those of you who know me know that I have a difficult time with change and new people...not because I don't like it, but because I still have a shy side...so for me to attend meetings with a bunch of women I don't know...and to do service projects with people I don't know...and I'm even going to take a concealed handgun class with a bunch of people I don't know...is a very big step for me...but I am thrilled to be a part of it and will outgrow my shyness at some point I'm sure! Anywho...very excited about all the opportunites this organization will allow me to be a part of...and am always excited to support Aaron...have I said lately how completely awesome he is? I have found a whole new respect and pride in him the last few months...very cool...
